PE2 Reflection & PE3 Goals
Reflections:
- went to Japanese table 2x in PE2
- did more shadowing than in PE1, practiced some super-speedy stuff
- would like to move on to improving the range of my expression
- still need to find a free speaking buddy
- make speaking more natural, reduce pause time
- use more conversation (less formal) methods of sentence construction while speaking
- continue going to Japanese table
- one of the PE recordings will be free speaking

きょう、 としょかんでべんきょうしました。 あそこに、 にほんのマンガの「あくまくん」があります。 でも、わたしはマンガをよみませんでした。 まだとてもむずかしいですよ。 それから、 ごごよじごろりょうにかえりました。 こんばん、 おいしいばんごはんをたべます。

PE 1, Reflections and PE 2, Goals and Activities
Reflections:
- went to the Japanese language table twice in PE 1
- did shadowing, but alas, not every day...
- need to improve speed in speaking, reduce pause time between objects and verbs
- some of these words are tongue-twisters for me: ねました、 すんでる
- Increase speed in speaking and reduce pauses.
- improve pronunciation of the "problem words" mentioned above.
- continue going to language table
- learn new vocabulary using the audio as well as book sources (thanks to しばたせんせい for this recommendation)
- do more shadowing!
- find a free-speaking buddy

First Post
こんばんわ、
はじめまして。 シワです。 どうぞ よろしく。
I chose to learn Japanese to learn a language I do not know. Because it is very different from English hopefully it will exercise an unused part of my brain. I also like to read まんが and the writers, なつめ そうせき (Kanji version?) and あくたがわ. I am excited about learning how to read and speak better, and meeting my teachers and fellow classmates. After my first 3 days of class, I find it difficult at times to differentiate between whether the ひらがな characters end in a hook, stop, or release.
じゃあ、 また ね!
